East Bridgewater-WEB Major Crimes and Drug Task Force Detectives, working in collaboration with Brockton Police Detectives and State Police Detectives assigned to District Attorney Timothy Cruz’ Office arrested (3) suspects on Monday afternoon in East Bridgewater related to an ongoing heroin and crack cocaine distribution investigation.
The investigation was spearheaded by East Bridgewater PD and WEB TF Detective David Perrault, which has been ongoing for the past month or more. WEB Detectives had received information that several males were involved in completing heroin and crack cocaine sales throughout the greater Brockton area, utilizing a motor vehicle to travel to and meet customers throughout the region.
During the investigation, task force investigators conducted surveillance of these suspects operating from their vehicle. One of the suspects was recently arrested by Brockton Police for heroin and crack cocaine distribution offenses.
Just before 5 pm today, detectives located the suspect vehicle near East Bridgewater’s town center. WEB Task Force, Brockton Police and State Police Detectives approached the suspects in their vehicle on Spring Street. Detectives located and arrested Patrick Barros, age 20, #16 Chester Ave, apt #2 Brockton; Mr Vaughn Mitchel, age 20, #73 Clinton Street, Brockton, and Mr Raymond Albury, age 18, #26 Glennwood Square, Brockton.
Mr Barros was found to be in possession of approximately 3.6 grams of crack cocaine. Approximately (22) bags of heroin were located in the vehicle, driven by Mr Mitchell. The total seized heroin weighed approximately 16 grams with a street value of $900.00. Also located and seized from the vehicle and/or suspects were (5) cellular phones, as well as $180.00 in cash. Detectives believe the suspects have been operating a “crack and heroin delivery operation”, based from the 2007, white Chevrolet Cobalt sedan.
The vehicle is being seized per the state’s drug forfeiture laws, as well as the small amount of cash.
Mr Mitchell was one of two males arrested on March 10th by Brockton Detectives for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A (Heroin) and Class B (Crack Cocaine) controlled substances. https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2015/03/11/brockton-men-arrested-drug-charges-one-hid-crack-cocaine-heroin-his-buttocks/3BytF7VBTjx16qZtV0zi7O/story.html
