Dennis Andre has been an East Bridgewater Police Officer for 10 years. Dennis is East Bridgewater Police Department’s current featured officer profile. Dennis is presently a Patrolman assigned to a split shift, rotating evening and day shifts.

Do you have a Specialty Position with the department? Yes, I am a Firearms instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Taser instructor, Use of Force Instructor, COBWEB (Police Mountain Bicycle), and ATV (Police All-Terrain Vehicle) operator.
What is SEMLEC SWAT? The South Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council has a Regional SWAT Team that is responsible for responding to tactical operations in 30 communities in Southeastern Massachusetts.
What is your role on SEMLEC? I am a Team Leader as well as expert-trained sniper
What specialty trainings have you had? I am certified in Diversionary Devices, Less-than lethal munitions, Sniper Training as well as certified in Police ATV and COWEB training. I am a Certified Defensive Tactics Instructor, Certified Taser Instructor, Certified SWAT School and Firearms Instructor
Are you a law enforcement trainer? Yes, in all of the above areas of which I am certified.
What courses do you teach? Defensive tactics is my present main specialty, along with my weapons and Taser training.
What is your favorite sport? Football
What is your favorite sport team? Patriots
Do you have any outside hobbies? I enjoy hunting, fishing, Crossfit training, spending time with my family, and coaching youth sports.
What do you like most about being a police officer? That every day brings something different. I enjoy being involved with helping people and making a difference in the community.
