East Bridgewater Police Encourage Community to Report Suspicious Activity
EAST BRIDGEWATER – Chief Scott Allen would like to reassure the East Bridgewater community that the police department conducted a thorough investigation of a report of suspicious activity over the weekend.
On Sunday, Sept. 12, officers responded to a report of a suspicious male driving around in a blue van in the area of Captain’s Way and Northridge Drive. Upon arrival, an EBPD patrolmen located the van and conducted a roadside investigation of the driver. An EBPD detective followed up on the investigation, and after finding no incriminating evidence, concluded his investigation.
Chief Allen and EBPD encourage residents to always call to report suspicious activity and/or suspicious vehicles in town.
“I appreciate the diligent work of EBPD patrolmen and detectives as they handled this report over the weekend,” Chief Allen said. “We encourage everyone to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhood so that officers may investigate and do everything possible to keep our community safe.
