The East Bridgewater Police were honored to host East Bridgewater teenager, Madison Paskell, who was honored by Cops For Kids With Cancer last week at the police station. Retired East Bridgewater Police Sergeant, Tom Reed, a representative for Cops For Kids With Cancer, presented Madison and her parents, Chris and Julie Hay, with a check to assist Madison and her family during her battle against cancer. Cops For Kids With Cancer raises donations from police departments, companies and others, which they give to families with children battling cancer.
The presentation was held at the police station. Alongside Madison, Mr and Mrs Hay, and Mr Reed were Police Chief Scott Allen, Deputy Chief of Police Paul O’Brien, Sergeant William Patterson as well as two special guests, East Bridgewater’s Charlotte Wilcox and her friend, Danica Moretti.
Charlotte, a local 2nd grade student, designed a t-shirt in support of Madison and her battle against cancer, which she presented to Madison. The local youths posed together for pictures and then toured the police station together led by Chief Allen.
Chief Allen and the Police Department were inspired by Madison’s courage and positive attitude and wish her a speedy recovery.
