East Bridgewater-Wednesday morning, East Bridgewater Police and East Bridgewater High School Seniors teamed up to deliver turkey meals in support of local families for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The turkey donation drive was first initiated by Officer Mark Harvey several years ago, but has continued through School Resource Officers Tallitha Connor and Cecelia Cacciatore, done at Thanksgiving and Christmas time.

Each year, Shaw’s Supermarket of Hanson provides discounted prices for full turkey dinners with all the trimmings, which teams of East Bridgewater Police Officers and East Bridgewater High School Students delivered today to about 10-15 local East Bridgewater families.

The cost of the meals are covered through donations made by the East Bridgewater Police and Fire Associations.  Officer Connor, Officer Cacciatore and Chief of Police Scott Allen broke up into 3 teams of students, driving them and delivering the meals this morning to local families who could use some holiday cheer for Thanksgiving.

East Bridgewater students who participated this year, all seniors, included Maria Dalto, Lexi Allen, Sydney Dewhurst, Luke Dawson, Kevin Lindsay, Kevin Barry, Coleman Mooney, Maisha Rho, and Sandra Derosa.
