East Bridgewater Police Charge Man with Trafficking Fentanyl Following Execution of Search Warrant

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Michael Jenkins reports that after an investigation, the East Bridgewater Police Department arrested a man and seized drugs and other items following the execution of a search warrant on Monday.

JONATHAN PIRES, AGE 28, OF BROCKTON, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl (10 Grams)
  • Possession of a Class B Substance

On Monday, Jan. 23, at approximately 6:05 a.m., East Bridgewater Police officers serving as members of the FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force, Brockton Police officers, and the FBI SWAT team executed a search warrant at 329 Court St. in Brockton following a weeks-long investigation by members of the FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force. East Bridgewater Detective David Perrault served as the lead Task Force Officer.

Officers cleared the residence and PIRES exited without incident. As a result of their search, officers located and seized 10 total grams of fentanyl, two amphetamine pills, and two digital scales. 

PIRES was arrested at the scene and transported to the East Bridgewater Police Station for booking. He was arraigned today in Brockton District Court and was held pending a dangerousness hearing. 

The FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force consists of members of the FBI, Boston Police, Massachusetts State Police, Bridgewater Police, East Bridgewater Police, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, and Barnstable Police.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
