EAST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Paul O’Brien is pleased to announce that Officer Paul Arnstein has been appointed as a full-time police officer to the East Bridgewater Police Department.
Officer Arnstein’s appointment will be effective Sunday, Oct. 30.
Officer Arnstein attended and graduated from the Lowell Police Academy in 2006. Since graduating, he has been a full-time police officer with the UMass Boston Police Department.
In his time with the UMass Boston Police Department Officer Arnstein has received training in various patrol and supervisory disciplines. He is a recipient of the FBI LEEDA Trilogy Award in Supervisor, Command, and Executive Leadership. He is certified through the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) as a certified sexual assault investigator, as well as a Patrol Procedure and Active Shooter Instructor. His last rank held at UMASS Boston was Detective Lieutenant.
Officer Arnstein graduated from Braintree High School in 1996, and attended and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2001 receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology.
As a member of the East Bridgewater Police Department, Officer Arnstein will be assigned to a Field Training Program prior to being assigned to a patrol shift.
