East Bridgewater-Everett’s Auto Parts, a business located on Thatcher Street at the East Bridgewater/Brockton town line, made a $1,000.00 donation today to EB HOPE in support of its initiatives, including its Drop-In Center. Everett’s co-owner, Thomas Andrade, presented a check to members of the EB HOPE Executive Board on Wednesday. Thomas’ father, Roy Andrade, is co-owner of this family owned business.
Everett’s Auto Parts has businesses located on both the Brockton and East Bridgewater sides of Thatcher Street and has been an active supporter of East Bridgewater community initiatives for many years. Everett’s Auto Parts was founded in 1951 by Everisto “Everett” Andrade and has remained a family business since then.
EB HOPE recently reached its 13-month of the Drop-In Center, located at the EB Community Covenant Church, #400 Pleasant Street, East Bridgewater. The Drop-In Center, though based in East Bridgewater, has taken on a regional approach and involves many volunteers, coalition members, area treatment and recovery professionals and police officers from various neighboring towns. EB HOPE’s Drop-In Center is open from 5-9 pm at the church on the 1st and 3rd Thursday’s of each month.

EB HOPE also has partnered with the Plymouth Outreach program, led by Plymouth Police Chief Michael Botieri and their coalition partners. The Plymouth Drop-In Center is also held at local churches in Plymouth during the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month, making Drop-In Center’s available 4 times per month in Plymouth County.
The next Plymouth Outreach Drop-In Center will be held next Wednesday, December 28th at the New Testament Church, #1120 Long Pond Road in Plymouth from 5-9 pm. Both EB HOPE and Plymouth Drop-In Centers are available to anyone, regardless of where you live and there is no cost associated with visiting the centers.
A host of resources are available at both Drop-In Centers, including licensed clinicians, Narcan training, family help resources, and resources from 20 or more treatment and recovery professional organizations. In addition to the Drop-In Centers, both regions direct those suffering from substance use disorders to the Brockton Champion Plan as a main entry point into detox treatment. Champion Plan
Today, East Bridgewater Police Chief Scott Allen and Chief Botieri hosted 60 individuals at East Bridgewater’s Town Hall, including Plymouth County Police Chiefs, Superior Officers, Detectives and Patrol Officers, representatives from the District Attorney’s Office, regional coalition members, local town government officials, hospital managers and dozens of treatment and recovery professionals, for the purpose of formalizing county-wide cooperation and collaboration in combatting substance use disorder outreach initiatives, including Drop-In Center resources and Overdose Outreach Follow-Ups. Representatives from the state’s Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) were also in attendance at today’s work-group session.
