Effective immediately, chapter 140, sections 122, 122B, 129B, 131, 131A, 131F, and 131H have been amended to change the fee schedule for Massachusetts firearms licenses. The $100.00 fee collected from the licenses is generally allocated for $50.00 for the Commonwealth, $25.00 for the licensing authority, and $25.00 for the Firearms Fingerprint Identity Verification Trust Fund.
If submitting Firearms Permit requests through the new State Portal System, a new applicant must attach their Mass State Police approved Shooting Safety Certificate.
New applicants must also still submit a request for an appointment through the East Bridgewater Police Firearms e-mail at LTC@eastbridgewaterma.gov for fingerprinting.
Submit a name and phone number for a member of the Licensing Team to contact you directly.
Renewals submitted through the state portal system must have the Affidavit signed and submitted through the attachments or brought to the East Bridgewater Police Station with payment.
The receipt for payment from the town website, or a Bank Check, or Money Order must be brought to the station at the time of your Fingerprinting appointment. Renewal payment may be dropped off at any time.
*Note since we are now accepting payment through Unipay online and in person.
