PLYMOUTH – Members of Plymouth Country Outreach (PCO) presented at the ‘United We Stand’ 2020 Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program (COAP) National Forum this week. Held in Arlington, Virginia, the national conference brings together community members and state experts across the United States who are working to address the opioid epidemic in their local areas.
East Bridgewater Joins Lawsuit Against Opioid Manufacturers and Distributors
Chief Scott Allen and the East Bridgewater Board of Selectmen report that the town has agreed to join a lawsuit against the manufacturers and distributors of pharmaceutical opioids, in an effort to recover municipal costs that have been brought on by the opioid epidemic.
EB HOPE Receives Grant from Bridgewater Savings Bank
EAST BRIDGEWATER – Police Chief Scott Allen is pleased to announce that East Bridgewater Help Outreach Prevention Education initiative (EB HOPE) has received a $2,310 grant from the Bridgewater Savings Bank Charitable Foundation to fund research and evaluation tools for the nonprofit.
East Bridgewater Police Collect 160 Pounds of Drugs During Take Back Events
EAST BRIDGEWATER – Police Chief John Cowan is pleased to announce that the East Bridgewater Police Department took back a total of 160.4 pounds of prescription drugs as a result of multiple “take back days,” including last weekend’s National Drug Take Back Day on April 30.
