Town of East Bridgewater Seeking Two Individuals to Serve on Public Safety Building Committee

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Town Administrator Charles Seelig, Police Chief Michael Jenkins and Fire Chief Timothy M. Harhen report that the Town of East Bridgewater is seeking two individuals to serve as at-large members on the newly-formed Public Safety Building Committee.

Applications must submitted by noon on Thursday, Nov. 9.

The Committee is charged with examining the current East Bridgewater public safety (fire and police) facilities. This will include the evaluation of present and future staffing levels, space for vehicles, equipment storage, and the programs and services provided by each department. The Committee will also develop a list of options for the facilities that will meet the needs of the departments in the future.

“The Public Safety Building Committee is an opportunity for our community members to make a difference in East Bridgewater’s future and have a voice in shaping the safety and well-being of the community,” Town Administrator Seelig said.

Anyone interested in applying can do so by completing the Select Board’s application form available on the Town’s website, here. Completed applications can be emailed to rjohnson@eastbridgewaterma.gov; mailed to 175 Central Street, East Bridgewater, MA 02333; or faxed to the Select Board’s Office at 508-378-1636. Applications can also be completed in person at the Select Board’s Office, 175 Central St.
