I was in a motor vehicle accident in East Bridgewater. What do I do next?
After an accident:
— Contact your Insurance company
— Review the requirements to complete a report on the MA RMV Website and then download and complete a crash report if required.
— Deliver a copy of the signed crash report to the police department.
— Request the report of the responding officer.
Where do I get a copy of a police report?
Most reports are requested using our online request form or in person at the police station.
For records request questions call 508-378-7223, however, please note records requests are not accepted by phone.

Firearms: Where can I take the required safety course?
Many gun shops, sporting clubs, and individuals offer the safety course. We cannot recommend any one class, but we suggest you contact your local gun store or perform a search online.
How do I file a complaint?
If you wish to register a complaint against a member of the East Bridgewater Police Department, please come to the East Bridgewater Police Station located at 153 Central Street, to speak to the Shift Commander in person. You may also call the Shift Commander on a recorded line at 508-378-7223.
The Shift Commander will record your complaint on department – Citizen Complaint Intake Form and forward it to Internal Affairs for investigation as needed. The Chief of Police oversees department internal affairs and will review your complaint, objectively investigate all allegations, and come to a finding in accordance with department policy and the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) regulations.

East Bridgewater Police Department has a Prescription Drug receptacle located right in the front lobby. You can safely dispose of unwanted, outdated or unnecessary prescription drugs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no questions asked. No Liquids, No Syringes.
How do I go about hiring an officer for a private detail?
Contact Dispatch at 508-378-7223 then dial “0” for information about scheduling a police detail. Please be aware that advance payment via money order or bank check may be required.
