East Bridgewater Police Department Welcomes Officer Jason Cimino

Please join me and the members of the East Bridgewater Police Department in welcoming Officer Jason Cimino to our department and the East Bridgewater community.

Officer Cimino is a POST-certified graduate of the Massachusetts Police Training Committee (MPTC) 2nd ROC East Falmouth Police Academy, graduating on May 8, 2026. He currently serves as a full-time police officer with the Yarmouth Police Department, where he is assigned to the overnight shift. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Roger Williams University. Prior to joining the Yarmouth Police Department, he worked and served as a police dispatcher for the Town of West Bridgewater. Officer Cimino also distinguished himself by being one of the top scorers on an earlier East Bridgewater Police Department entrance examination and physical assessment.

Officer Cimino is married, is a new father, and currently resides in West Bridgewater. He will begin his service with the East Bridgewater Police Department beginning the week of Sunday, November 8, 2026. Upon joining the department, he will be assigned to a Field Training Officer (FTO) who will help familiarize him with our community, department policies and procedures, and daily operations.

Officer Cimino will be officially sworn in on Monday, November 9, 2026, alongside the department’s newly promoted officers and personnel receiving new assignments.

Joining a new police department is more than starting a new job. It means becoming part of a community and accepting the responsibility of serving and protecting the people who call it home. We look forward to Officer Cimino building relationships with our residents, working alongside our community partners, and upholding the values of Character, Commitment, and Community that guide the East Bridgewater Police Department.

On behalf of the entire department, I extend a warm welcome to Officer Cimino and his family. I encourage the residents of East Bridgewater to join us in welcoming him as he begins this exciting new chapter in his law enforcement career. We are pleased to have him joining our team and look forward to the contributions he will make to our department and the community we proudly serve.

Welcome to East Bridgewater, Officer Cimino! We wish you and your family every success and happiness as you begin this new chapter.

Respectfully,

Chief Michael E. Jenkins
East Bridgewater Police Department
